I'm supposed to be cleaning out my sewing area in preparation for our future move. Let's just say it isn't going really well? Every time I unearth something I haven't seen in a while it gets me excited to make something! So now I have five or six projects cut out, sitting on the table.
I decided in order to expedite the process and be sure I don't keep all of this stuff for myself I'm going to do a giveaway-a-day. It sounds a little overwhelming, but I think if I set it all up weekly then maybe it'll go smoothly?
Most of the giveaways will be for vintage patterns, as I'm overflowing with them. Sometimes I'll throw a cut of fabric in the mix, or maybe some notions I need to thin out (I might have thirty zippers? Is that too many?).
If you're a quilter or craft-sew-er, don't be dismayed! I have hundreds of yards of quilting cottons in super cool prints so I'll probably de-stash a little there, too. I can see a cut of Heather Ross' blue dogs on the list. And orange ones.
If it's a pattern, my hope is that all the pieces are there even if it's been cut. I can't guarantee that, though! And I'll try to choose patterns that are of a size most women can work with (34-36-38).
If there's a style of pattern you're dying for, feel free to email me at heathertyfeatherty at gmail dot com and I'll search my stash. I do have two copies of a TO DIE FOR vintage Vogue designer pattern that will probably be the coup de gras, if you know what I mean.
For the inaugural giveaway, I present to you...
McCall's 4532 - Size 18 / Bust 38 - circa early sixties?
Marge, do you think this necklace is flattering on me?
Why yes, Susan, I do. And I just love your new gloves.
Oh, thank you. Walter bought them for me on holiday last
year.
Hmm, I'm going to have to have a talk with Harold. Maybe if I
make his favorite pot roast tonight...
All you need to do in order to enter is leave a comment with your email address (you can use spaces to prevent spamming) by 9:00 p.m. CST today, Tuesday, April 6. I'll use random number generator to pick the winner tonight, and email them directly. You'll have to be willing to send me your mailing address. I'll ship anywhere in the world for free, isn't that cool?!
Sorry for the short notice on today's giveaway, the idea just came to me late this morning on a conference call!
OK, thanks ladies, and check back tomorrow for the next giveaway!
Good luck, happy entering!
**Edit - I just finished lining up the first five giveaways, and there's a lovely piece of fabric in the mix! So check back daily, if you have time.**
